Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and trigger replenishment as needed.
- Accurately document materials received, issued, and returned using inventory systems or manual records.
- Perform regular physical inventory checks and reconcile any discrepancies.
2. Receiving and Dispatching
- Assist in verifying the quality and quantity of deliveries, ensuring alignment with purchase orders.
- Prepare and dispatch materials to production or other departments based on approved requests.
3. Storage and Organization
- Safeguard materials by adhering to proper storage practices to avoid damage or loss.
- Systematically label and organize materials for easy identification and retrieval.
4. Record-Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain precise records of stock levels, movements, and consumption using inventory management tools.
- Contribute to periodic reports on stock status, shortages, and excess materials for management insights.
5. Coordination and Compliance
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure seamless material supply.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental guidelines during material handling and storage.
6. Operational Support
- Supervise casual laborers or junior staff assigned to store activities.
- Handle routine correspondence regarding inventory and supplies under the Store Officer’s supervision.
