Job Description:
The Senior Exams Marketing Manager will develop and execute the marketing strategy for the cluster/country, ensuring alignment with regional and global strategies. Reporting to the Regional Head of Marketing, Exams, this role involves managing marketing plans, campaigns, and stakeholder relationships to support the British Council’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and Planning
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the cluster/country, aligned with regional/global goals.
- Plan and execute go-to-market and annual marketing plans for exams, coordinating delivery mechanisms, budgets, and resources.
- Develop marketing campaigns to maximize market impact and align with regional objectives.
- Ensure consistent deployment of the British Council brand across the cluster.
- Monitor marketing KPIs and provide regular performance reports.
2. Consultancy, Analysis, and Problem-Solving
- Apply advanced marketing knowledge to enhance strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
- Utilize insights and feedback to refine marketing services and approaches.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the operational context, challenges, and opportunities within the cluster.
3. Business Development
- Identify and implement innovative marketing techniques to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Ensure plans are insight-driven, using tools to measure performance and ROI.
- Analyze emerging trends and monitor opportunities for growth.
- Focus on audience segmentation and market strategies to optimize outcomes.
4. Subject/Sector Expertise
- Provide expert marketing advice to ensure high-quality and compliant marketing practices.
- Share marketing expertise to develop effective strategies and solutions.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain expertise.
5. Commercial and Financial Management
- Plan and manage the cluster’s marketing budget, ensuring alignment with corporate systems and processes.
- Report on progress, budget usage, and risk management quarterly and annually.
- Support business teams with value-for-money advice and ROI-driven recommendations.
6. Relationship and Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration within the Marketing Community of Practice to enhance knowledge sharing.
- Ensure integrated approaches and future-proofed solutions for marketing initiatives.
7. Leadership and Management
- Plan and prioritize marketing activities effectively over quarterly to annual timeframes.
- Share insights and innovative ideas to enhance the British Council’s operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent English proficiency (minimum IELTS Band score of 7 in all components).
- Degree or professional qualification in Marketing or Business.
- Significant experience in a senior marketing role within a large, complex organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing marketing strategies and managing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in using tools for customer insights, integrated marketing communications, partnership marketing, and analytics.
