International Breweries Plc was established in December 1971 by its founder and first Chairman, Dr. Lawrence Omole, under the name International Breweries Limited. The company began production of its flagship product, Trophy Lager, in December 1978, with an initial annual capacity of 200,000 hectoliters. Due to growing demand for its products, the company initiated an expansion program in December 1982, increasing its production capacity to 500,000 hectoliters per year. In April 1995, International Breweries Plc was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Our Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) Program is a key initiative designed to unlock potential by nurturing future leaders who will drive our business forward. What to Expect in the First 10 Months:
- Three-month rotations aligned with our three strategic pillars, ideally in Marketing, Sales, Tech, or Supply/Logistics.
- Hands-on projects within these rotations to tackle real business challenges and expand knowledge in core functions.
- Participation in the Cheers! Festival (Global Induction), where GMTs will gain insights into our company strategy directly from senior leaders and connect with peers worldwide.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree by the program start date (STEM disciplines preferred).
- Pursuing or holding a postgraduate qualification (e.g., PGDip, MBA, Masters, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- No more than 3 years of full-time formal work experience by the program start date (internships, vacation work, short-term contracts, or co-op experiences are excluded).
- Legal work authorization (full citizenship) in the country of application.
- Completion of National Youth Service (for Nigerian citizens).
- Proficiency in English.
- Willingness to relocate as opportunities arise—mobility enhances potential career prospects.
