As we expand and enhance our mobile applications and web platforms, we are seeking a talented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality, performance, and security of our products.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Software QA Engineer to lead both manual and automated testing efforts across our mobile apps (Android & iOS), website, and backend systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring our applications meet the highest standards in functionality, usability, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile apps (iOS & Android), websites, and backend services.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, API, integration, system, security, and UI testing.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or similar.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to identify, document, and resolve issues.
- Conduct cross-platform and cross-device testing to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Monitor and analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and validate bug fixes.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and accessibility standards.
- Use bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
- Implement continuous integration testing using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, including mobile app and web application testing.
- Strong expertise in automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Postman, or JMeter.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or Kotlin for test automation.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with cloud testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.
- Experience working with SQL databases for test data validation.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security testing, performance testing, and usability testing best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Xray).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fintech, banking, or payment solutions testing.
- Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks such as Espresso (Android) or XCUITest (iOS).
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certification is a plus.
