Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Associate to manage and optimize the financial operations of a growing network of restaurant merchants. This role requires strong organizational skills, analytical abilities, and expertise in Google Sheets and Excel for financial data organization and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Merchant Payments
- Manage payments for over 400 restaurant and retail merchants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness according to bespoke deal terms, timing, and pricing.
- Navigate, interpret, and update large financial workbooks in Google Sheets and Excel with precision and extreme attention to detail.
Corporate Card Consolidation
- Oversee and consolidate corporate card expenses, ensuring proper categorization and alignment with budget allocations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s P&L and core business expenses.
Sales Tax Filing
- Prepare and vet transactional CSV uploads for submission to TaxJar monthly, ensuring compliance with multi-state tax regulations.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Support general accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, tracking financial transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Spreadsheet Management
- Utilize advanced functions in Google Sheets and Excel for financial tracking, data analysis, and reporting, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify trends and insights that support business decisions.
