Bosak Microfinance Bank is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as an Assistant Information Technology Officer.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Management:
- Provide expert IT advisory services to management and oversee the IT budget from a governance perspective.
- Develop and implement IT governance policies and ensure compliance across the organization.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to information security programs, minimizing risk and audit findings.
Risk and Compliance:
- Review and track exceptions noted in risk and audit reports, coordinating remediation plans with relevant teams.
- Develop and implement procedures to comply with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and ensure alignment with the bank’s IT risk register.
Audit and Documentation:
- Coordinate support for IT audits and regulatory compliance reviews.
- Periodically update IT department job profiles and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop IT continuity frameworks to ensure uninterrupted services.
Performance and Process Improvement:
- Conduct internal surveys to evaluate IT service performance.
- Review the Technology SWOT analysis quarterly and recommend policy and procedural improvements.
Technical Support and Operations:
- Manage user accounts and access for staff in the banking application and email systems.
- Provide training on banking software and computer applications.
- Troubleshoot software issues, handle End-of-Day/Month/Year processing, and manage data backups/restoration.
- Perform database administration tasks, including SQL management.
- Oversee security device management and ensure the safety of hardware and software systems.
- Handle the bank’s SMS portal, network infrastructure, and communication systems (LAN, IP phones).
- Liaise with IT vendors, technicians, software providers, and ISPs for seamless operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (additional qualifications are advantageous).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with prior exposure in a financial institution being essential.
- Expertise in IT systems design, development, and implementation.
- Proficient in systems engineering, server administration, troubleshooting, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience in computer networks and network administration.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (20000, 27001, 22301) and data center management.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦250,000 Monthly
