Job Description
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will join the Process Engineering team under the Engineering Lead to deliver process engineering expertise and assurance services for the HI OTB Projects. This role involves driving engineering excellence, ensuring technical integrity, and supporting project execution in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Process Technical Authority (TA3) for the HI project team, with accountabilities defined by the Asset Integrity Process Safety Management (AIPSM) and the Discipline Control and Assurance Framework (DCAF).
- Implement process engineering discipline standards and provide expert input in technical reviews and Management of Change processes.
- Ensure compliance with the Opportunity Realization Manual and effective delivery of HI project requirements.
- Support project teams with technical clarifications, vendor negotiations, and cost-saving strategies.
- Contribute to FEED and detailed design stages with a focus on Flares Down Policy, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy efficiency, and facility uptime optimization.
- Develop and optimize facility and field models using tools like IPSM, Unisim, and Pipesim.
- Drive the development and application of operating envelopes, technical limit diagrams, and ensure data quality improvement plans are executed.
- Provide technical guidance aligned with industry standards, focusing on requirements management and systems engineering.
- Support asset optimization by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient facility design and operations.
- Demonstrate strong leadership in health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; COREN registration required.
- Experience:
- 8–10 years of engineering experience, with at least 8 years as a process engineer.
- Proficiency in process engineering tools (e.g., UNISIM, IPSM-GAP, PIPESIM).
- Background in Oil and Gas (Upstream/Downstream) with knowledge of operations and maintenance work processes.
- Experience in field/facility engineering and technical safety/risk engineering.
- Familiarity with Integrated Production System Modelling (IPSM) tools and collaboration with subsurface disciplines.
- Certifications: TA3 certification preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in planning, economics, and auditing.
- Technical competence in process design, modeling, analysis, and safety.
- Leadership and managerial capabilities, with a proven track record.
- Knowledge of ongoing SWO projects is advantageous.
