Job Summary
Fuma Deluxe Investment Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage the company’s financial records and processes. This role is pivotal to ensuring the smooth financial operations of our business, and the ideal candidate should bring a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant, you will be expected to:
- Maintain Accurate Financial Records:
- Prepare and manage company accounts.
- Process and document all accounting transactions, including disbursements, cash receipts, credit controls, project fund reconciliations, and bookings.
- Handle Monthly and Annual Financial Reporting:
- Submit monthly activities such as VAT, PAYE, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements, financial reports, and staff payrolls.
- Inventory and Payment Oversight:
- Manage inventory by counting and inputting stock into the system.
- Ensure efficient and accurate payment processing in line with company policies.
- Auditing and Analysis:
- Audit financial data to ensure compliance.
- Analyze accounts and support the creation of business plans.
- Administrative and Operational Support:
- Prepare and verify invoices, requisitions, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven work experience as an accountant.
- Location: Applicants residing near Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, will be given preference.
- Technical Skills:
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Proficiency in using accounting software is an advantage.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and honest attitude with the ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
