- Settings: Construction, renovation, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects
Responsibilities & Tasks
As a Carpenter, your responsibilities will include:
- Layout Preparation: Use measuring tools to create layouts in compliance with building codes.
- Construction and Assembly: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, lightweight steel, and wood substitutes.
- Structural Work: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and construct walls and roofing.
- Installation: Fit and install components like windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Project Coordination: Schedule and manage tasks on various sites.
- Supervision: Oversee 3-4 workers as needed.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct maintenance, repairs, and renovations on structures across various facilities including mills, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Additional Information
- Travel Requirements: Travel is expected, and expenses will be covered by the employer.
- Work Conditions: Includes bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Required Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat.
